Mephin Mwiinga. At 21 she is the youngest member of our group. Mephin completed grade 12 and is a shining example of how education can empower women and their families. She is literate in English, Chitonga and Chichewa, already skilled in sewing and working with her husband to build a savings and a home before they decide to have a family. Financially sound decisions like this are learned through education. Though she completed school, Mehpin was never able to take her grade 12 exams. Her goal now is to earn money for them so that she can receive her diploma.
